Café Arte
by Alex on Jan.16, 2010, under What to do in Bogotá
Carrera 3 No. 13-41
La Candelaria
I’ve not eaten here but it looks very cool inside – a large covered courtyard houses the main eating area on both ground floor and balconies, a separate café area offers a less formal setting for a quick snack.

LS Sandwicheria Delikatessen
by Alex on Jan.15, 2010, under What to do in Bogotá
Calle 7 No. 13-42
La Candelaria
Empanadas 1,300 COP
My favourite empanada shop based on the fact that they have mentally hot chilli sauces including guacamole ‘pa’ machos’ (for machos). The cheese empanadas, which are close to my heart and possibly heart attack in the future, are the best I’ve found in town. Also sells sandwiches, tacos, burritos etc.

Vegetarian restaurant and products
Avenida Jiménez No. 4-64
La Candelaria
Set meals from 7,000 COP
Usually at least 2 set meals – 3 courses and juice. Also sell vegetarian sausages, burgers and tofu. The food is tasty filling and varies on a daily basis. . Service is fine, nothing special about the atmosphere – more functional that anything else. For a more homely ambience go to Quinua y Amaranto, about 7 blocks away

Sundays and public holidays
From old phones that probably don’t work to billiard balls. There is so much stuff here that will never, ever, get sold. A friend of mine loves this place for clothes and it’s certainly work a look
